Location and the park:
In the most beautiful area of Southern France called the Languedoc, 30 minutes from the Mediterannean beaches, is the location of this breathtaking French Bastide (Manor house) built in 1649! One hour from Avignon, the Chateau borders a small village of 200 inhabitants. The chateau residents can clearly hear the bells of the little 12th century church which toll on the hour.
Chateau des Anges Sacres is located between the famous cities of Montpellier and Nimes, well known for its antique past and its classical music festivals. From Nimes, one can get to Paris in less than three hours by TGV the famous high speed train.
Surrounded by a magnificent park with trees of more than 100 years old, lies this romantic and superb renovated demeure (Estate) at the end of an alley way, accessible by a Romanesque bridge. Vineyards, a river, fields and forests surround the Chateau. The current owners restored the swimming pool to its original charm. The fountain and flower gardens are all designed according to the historical ambiance of past centuries and are well maintained by the gardener.

The climate is mild and can be compared to the weather in Georgia or South Carolina except there is no humidity in the air.
The chateau itself:
Chateau des Anges Scares is named after the scenes of angels being painted on the wooden cassette ceilings of the living room. The three story castle is renovated, decorated and furnitured with impeccable taste and is in a ready to move in condition. Chimneys, high ceilings, wood floors, murals and beautiful furniture give the Chateau the original ambience as if one was living in the past but with modern amenities. Visiting and seeing Chateau des Anges evokes a desire to stay there forever.
